A visit from the Cousins!!

We had a very exciting weekend with lots of family visiting! Friday, Uncle Adam, Aunt Vanessa & Cousin Hannah came in. It was so neat to watch Delaney and Hannah interact. We got some really cute pictures of the two of them. I can't wait till Delaney is a little bigger and they can play together.

On Saturday we went to the Little Pondersosa Zoo. Delaney pretty much slept the whole time, but Hannah had a blast! They have all sorts of random animals and its very up close and personal. I can't wait to take Delaney back when she is older :)

On Sunday, my brother and sister in law stayed with us :) They hadn't met Delaney yet so we were so excited they were stopping in!! Their daughter Grace is 10 months old and it was so fun to watch her around Delaney.

I was also so excited because Anne got Delaney this adorable insulated cooler/travel bag with her initials on it!! It was full of clothes and other awesome things :)

And last but definitely not least, our little doll baby rolled over today for the first time on her very own!! The only video I got only shows the last part because she had already gotten to her side before I started filming!! But she has done it a few times now, all starting on her belly and pushing herself up and kicking until she rolls over, all on her own!! Please disregard her crying in the video..she apparently wasn't as happy as I was that she rolled over!! My little Delaney Jane is growing up!! 9 weeks old and she can now roll over...sitting up in the bumbo seat....hmmm.. I see sitting up and crawling in our near future :)

9 weeks & a visit from Auntie Lou

This little angel is 9 weeks old today!!

She is changing so much!! I noticed today that she can hold her head up on her own while I'm holding her upright. She is a strong little thing!! We had a great week full of visitors and they are continuing through the weekend!! Auntie Lou came on Wednesday, Uncle Adam, Aunt Vanessa & Hannah are coming in tonight, and Uncle Shane, Aunt Roo & Cousin Grace will be here Sunday!! We are so excited to see everybody!

Delaney was very happy to hear that her Auntie Lou was stopping by :) She smiles so much, especially in the morning!!

Auntie Lou has just recently come off the road with Chris Tomlin, so of course when I saw this onesie I had to get it, because Auntie Lou really does ROCK :)))

We also went over and visited our friends the Blakney's. Their little boy Stephen is 8 weeks older than Delaney...they look so cute together :)

We sat them up and Delaney's head fell on  his shoulder! So sweet and not posed!!

2 months!!!

If you can believe it, this little doll baby is 2 months old today!!

We got a new camera so we took lots of pictures! Even though she smiles CONSTANTLY, she didn't crack a smile for the photo shoot! Oh well!!

Delaney now eats about 3-4 ounces every 3-4 hours. She sleeps 4-5 hours at night. She now wears a size 1 diaper and has moved into 0-3 months clothes. She can still wear some of her newborn clothing, but most of her nb sleepers are getting snug!!

She loves being on her tummy and is very close to rolling over already! We propped her up on her elbows for the pictures today and she actually rolled to her back twice on her own!! I know it will only be a matter of time before she is doing it completely on her own. Watch out world!!

We went to the doctor today and she now weighs 9 lbs and is 20 1/4 inches long! She is still in the lower percentile, but within the normal range. Dr. Stephens said she looked awesome and was very impressed with her development!! Delaney even gave her a few grins!! :)

She had to get 2 shots :( But she did SOOOO well!! She cried for a minute, but I held her and she went right to sleep! She's pretty much been asleep since, except to eat..poor thing!! She is growing like a weed, that's for sure :)

We just keep falling more and more in love with her every day. We go to court next Friday and there is a good chance at that time the birth parents rights will be terminated. From there we can start the adoption process. One thing is for sure, she is one loved little girl!!

Happy Easter!

We had a nice time yesterday. This was Delaney's first Sunday at church. We had a 9 & 11 am service so we went to the later one because I figured it would be better for her feeding schedule. :) When we woke up I went and got her goodies from the Easter bunny. Even though she is too little to remember this Easter, I still couldn't resist :) My favorite was her very first bible..it even has her name on it :)

She got a bunny rabbit, bunny ears, 2 Veggie Tales movies, 2 Sesame Street books, a baby Einstein book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, a springy outfit, a bunny sippy cup, sand toys, and a personalized bible ;) She is even wearing her Easter p.j's that Gigi got her!

I was so excited about her Easter dress! We got it at Belk and it was on sale! It fit her perfectly!

I absolutely love her with the bonnet!!!

She did really well during church. We sat in the balcony and she got a little hungry so I took her out and fed her. I figured she would fall asleep after she ate, but she was wide awake the rest of the service! She didn't make a peep :) Such a sweet baby girl! We were so glad that so many people got to finally meet her. She was a big hit!!

After church we went to Allen's uncles for lunch. Most of his family haven't seen Delaney yet either. They couldn't get over how cute and sweet she was. All of his cousins and aunts & uncles held her and loved on her.

After that we went to our friends Pam & Jim's house. They love our little girl and constantly fight over who is going to hold her :) Their 2 daughter's Bekah & Abby love her too!!

 Today while I was organizing Delaney's closet I had her on her tummy time mat. Hank is always nearby, but this was the first time he laid on the mat with her!! They are best friends!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! Delaney will be 2 months tomorrow so I will be updating the blog with her 2 month picture and her Dr. visit! Can't wait to find out how much she's grown!!
