My 1st grade ladies :)

Last Saturday we went to Rachel's house for a Cinco de Mayo dinner :) Not that any of us celebrate that holiday, but any excuse to get together and eat Mexican food is all I need!! Earlier that day Hank got a much needed trim :) This is the shortest his hair has ever been..looks like he's lost 20 lbs!!

We had a great time Saturday night! It was a fun night filled with food, laughter, games and lots of good story telling :) Oh, and loving on Baby Delaney :)

Today  we went up to school for field day. It was raining so they had it in the gym. It was so fun and great to see my kids! I cannot believe they are almost second graders...

Waiting for the potato sack race to start !

This little lady slept through most of it...

And was all smiles when she woke up!!
My kids thought she was so neat :) It was sweet to see them interact with her and they of course had tons of questions for me!!

Let's hear it for the boys!! :)

Delaney spent quite a bit of time with boys this week! HA :) She loves her buddy Stephen and I know they are gonna be lifelong friends!
On Wednesday we ran a few errands. I love matching Delaney's outfits with cute hair bows and accessories. I love these D hair clips I got at a consignment sale. So sweet :)

Thursday I watched Delaney's friend Stephen for his Mommy Rachel. They were so good together! First I let them play on the play mat. They were so cute just making noise and playing together. Stephen is 6 weeks older than Delaney. For some reason I kept thinking he was 8 weeks older, but nope, only 6!!

Double Trouble!!!

Next I decided to venture out and take a walk with both of them :) I have a sling and a little front carrier that I hadn't even opened yet. So, I put Stephen in the stroller, and Delaney in the carrier. Hank wasn't too happy that he didn't make the trip but clearly I had my hands full. And of course, I didn't get a picture of us :( But, when I got back, they had both fallen asleep, which meant I got to take a shower!! YAY  :)

My sweet friend Jessica and her daughter Gabby came over and brought me lunch! They also were very helpful because Delaney & Stephen both wanted to be held. I don't know how mom's of twins or more do it!!

Out of our pj's and playing again!!

Even Gabby joined in the fun!!

I had a great time with these little sweeties :)
We even had tummy time!!
I know it looks like all they did was lay on that mat all day, but I promise, I did hold them, feed them, change them and play too :) I will say that play mat was a big hit though!! Lights, music, and things to grab and kick :) Sounds like the perfect thing for a 3 and 5 month old!! I am so glad we are friends with the Blakney's and that Stephen and Delaney will be in school and church together!!

Thursday night I went to book club! I've only been one other time and honestly we never get around to talking about the books! HA :) We eat and socialize....my kind of outing!! My sweet friends from Andersonville were there; Jessica, Tessa & Laura. They all have BOYS!!! They are all very close in age and best friends. They were so cute playing trains and running around the house. Delaney didn't know what to think :) I only got this one pic of 2 of them...I couldn't even catch Jackson to snap his photo :)

Sweet Cameron & Elijah..this is the best I could get!!
My book club girls: Jessica, Laura & Tessa ( I like that Delaney already joins us..hopefully she'll be a reader too!!)
Tessa has the touch :)
Yesterday Delaney was 12 weeks old!! It is so hard to believe it's been that long since we got the phone call that changed our lives forever. It has been an amazing few months and God continues to amaze us with his faithfulness. I think this little miracle gets cuter every day!!

I love her so much!!!!!!

Several nights a week are devoted to softball now that the season has started! I'm so glad my girl is easy going and doesn't mind being out and about. Of course, she's social so she loves all of the attention!!

All ready to watch Daddy play!!

Papa & Delaney at the game

Nana put me to sleep :)

Some sweet friends; Leslie and her little girl Mia & Candi holding Delaney!!
We have a busy couple of weeks/weekends coming up so I'm sure I'll have lots to post about! Delaney's 3 month birthday is next Thursday!! So hard to believe...she is growing up too fast!!

Little girls

I hope everyone has had a Happy Tuesday! It's been so warm here finally!! Delaney has SOOO many cute summer time clothes and of course, matching hair bows ;) I love dressing my little girl up!!
I am obsessed with monogrammed things right now! I absolutely love this pacifier clip with a D on it :) I am planning on getting a few more. And I really want some clothes with her name and monogram on it too!! A while back my mom got me a gift certificate to a website called Mymiraclebaby.com. They have adorable clothing and other baby items! I ordered this precious outfit today!! Can't wait for her to wear it. It will be her first outfit that has her name printed on it!!

Ignore Sophia and imagine Delaney written in that cute print! I LOVE the monkey :)
Last night we went to Allen's softball game. I tell ya, we have one social little girl. She didn't want to be held by anyone but me at first, and she only wanted to face out so she could see what was going on!! She is such a nut. She finally gave Nana & Papa some love ;)

Is there anything sweeter than a baby after bath time???
I was so excited to get our Baby Einstein Play yard yesterday! I have been wanting one and used a gift card to get one. Delaney and Hank love it!!

Can you tell I love to dress my little girl up?? HA :) Love how she looks in black and white!!
Today we went to see Dr. Weinstein, a developmental physiatrist. She observed Delaney in the NICU and she will continue to monitor her progress as she grows. Her job is to see how she is doing developmentally, and if needed, assign physical/speech therapy if needed. I honestly can say, going into this visit I wasn't too concerned. I really feel she is on track with her age. She is just shy of 3 months and can already roll over, hold her head up, and she is extremely alert, smiling at everyone!!

The visit was pretty quick and Dr. W was very impressed with how well she has adjusted. She gave me some ideas to help with Delaney's gripping. She tends to close up her fists and Dr. W showed me how to stimulate her hands so that she will grab and grip items. She also showed me how to work out her legs to loosen them up some. Overall she told me she has no real big issues and she was so glad to see she was doing well! She said she was a very social and happy baby and very cute :) I agree totally!! She advised me to give her lots of tummy time and work with her a lot. We go back in 2 months. Of course, with me being home until August, I will be doing just that! I am so glad I am able to spend all day every day with my little sweetheart the first 6 months of her life.  A lot of mommy's don't get that opportunity and I thank God that he had such a great plan and worked all of this out for us ahead of time!

Please continue to pray for us as we go through the adoption process in the next few months!!
