7 weeks!

I am really having a hard time believing our little angel is 7 weeks old today! It seems like the time is flying by and I need it to slow down...I don't want it to be August yet ..I will not be ready to go back to work and leave our sweet baby girl!!

This week we moved into size 1 diapers and some 0-3 months clothes!! We are growing!! She still fits into most of her newborn outfits, but some of the sleepers were getting snug! I feel like this is only the beginning of many milestones :) HA!!

We have been bathing Delaney in a sink tub that my sister in law gave us. Last night she was really fussy so my stepmom told us to put her in the tub where she could soak. There is no doubt this little girl loves baths just like me!! She just relaxed and didn't make a peep...it was precious!!
We have a photo session with a photographer on Tuesday!! I can't wait to see how the pictures turn out :) Be prepared...I'm sure my blog will be full of them! My Mom & Stepdad are in for the weekend so we are going to enjoy time with them :) Hope everybody has a great weekend!!

Here is one of Delaney's 0-3 month outfits...I LOVE the tutu :)

Mine to Love

My sweet friend Amanda introduced me to this Dave Barnes song the other day called "Mine to Love." Allen and I LOVE Dave Barnes. He was pretty much our life soundtrack while we were dating :) HA!! Anyway this song is so sweet and I thought I'd share the words in this post while sharing a few pictures of our sweet little one as well.

You might wanna close your eyes
It’ll take some time adjustin’
Welcome to your life
You’re everything you’ll someday be

There’s a weight off my shoulder
There’s laughter in the air
You are the answer to every midnight prayer

You’re mine to love
We have all been waitin’ on you
You’re mine to love
Come into these open arms
It took some time to wait it out
But I see it now, you’re worth all the dreaming of
You’re mine to love
You’re mine to love

You might wanna take your time
Takin’ all this technicolor, yeah
We’re on your side
Let us be the one you need

There’s a life on my shoulder
Laughter in the air
You are the answer to all those midnight prayers

You’re mine to love
We have all been waitin’ on you
You’re mine to love
Come into these open arms

It took some time to wait it out
But I see it now, you’re worth all the dreaming
You’re mine to love
You’re mine to love

Every time that my heart was broken
Every time that I’ve lost my wings
I forget when I look into your face

You’re mine to love
We have all been waitin’ on you

You’re mine to love
Come into these open arms
‘Cause I’m right here
It took some time to wait it out

But I see it now, you’re worth the dreaming of
You’re mine to love
You’re mine to love
You’re mine to love
You’re mine to love

So you might wanna close your eyes
We love you Delaney Jane Goins and you are "Ours to Love." :)

Meeting the family

We had a fabulous weekend in Johnson City & Kingsport! Miss Delaney Jane got to meet several family members who had yet to see her :) We left Friday around 5 and she slept the ENTIRE way :) Not a peep! Hank wasn't so sure about the backseat being taken up by me & Delaney but he made it work. He is used to stretching out..poor fella!
We got to Dad & Glo's and they were so excited to see her! It had been a month!! We ate dinner and hung out.
Pop & Delaney
My little brother Nick was going turkey hunting Sat. morning with Gloria's dad, so we took him over there to spend the night and let them meet Delaney :)

Grandad & Bootsie (the world's youngest great grandparents!!! Ha!!!

Saturday morning Gloria's mom, "Mama Glo" came by to meet our sweet girl. She loved on her and sang songs to Delaney! 'I'd say music will be in her future in some way! Between my sister and stepmom singing, and my father in law playing all kinds of instruments, this child will be introduced to music :)
Mama Glo & Delaney
We got ready and headed to Kingsport to visit my family! I have lots of relatives who haven't had a chance to meet our sweet girl. We were so glad some of them were in town. My Papa is in a nursing home now so we went there first.

After that we headed to Baysmont where my great Aunt Lib lives. She was so excited to finally meet our precious miracle!!

When we got back from Kingsport Allen and I took Delaney over to see one of my long time friends, Cassi. We met in Kindergarten, and just in the last few years, started hanging out when her family moved to Knoxville. Now they live in Johnson City again, so we were so excited to bring Delaney by to meet them! Cassi has 4 sweet little ones, but the only one there was her youngest Jeremiah. He wasn't sure what to think about his mommy holding a baby ...

Cassi's sweet mom, Terry who was SOOO excited to meet our little one. She has been praying for us for a long time!!
Saturday night we went out to dinner and then came home and relaxed. We got up yesterday morning and took a few pics before heading home.

I love how Hank joined the picture too!!
On our way home, Allen's cousin Misty called. She lives in Virginia, but was at his parents house. So we stopped by there for her to meet Delaney.

All in all it was a wonderful trip! I feel like I packed the entire house between stuff for Delaney and Hank :) HA!! She is such a good traveler and I am SOOO glad. I don't know that we could deal with road trips where she is unhappy. But then again, she is such a happy baby, so we really shouldn't have anything to worry about. My Mom and Stepdad, Dan, are coming in next weekend and I am so excited for them to see her. Dan hasn't met her yet, and Mom will be so surprised at how much she has changed :)

I had to share this one last photo. I took it on the way home yesterday. They are both sound asleep and I love how Hank has his head on her car seat. He is such a good big brother and loves this little girl so much!!

"Official" 1 month checkup and a play date!

Yesterday was Delaney's official 1 month checkup even though she is almost 6 weeks old. That was the only time we could get in with our doctor. It worked out a few weeks ago when we went though because I was able to get her weight at exactly 1 month. So at yesterdays checkup at 51/2 weeks she weighed 7'14 and was 19 7/8 inches. She has also gained in her head and chest! She is a little growing weed :) She is still in like the 5-10 % for height and weight, but since she was early and little, she has some catching up to do. Dr. Stephens checked her out and said she looked perfect! (AGAIN :) She had Delaney on her belly and she started kicking and trying to roll over. Dr. Stephens told us to be prepared...she will roll over early!! HA :) While we were waiting sweet baby girl was so happy and content. I took this video because she was responding to me kissing and loving on her. She also would stick her tongue out every time I blew in her face..so cute :)

My little strawberry!

Sweet smile

Laughing!

Heading to dr

Look  how long I'm getting!!

Last night we went to Outback with Joel and Kendra! It was free Bloomin Onion day...yummy!! It was nice to hang out with them. They love our sweet baby girl!!
Today we had a play date with 2 girls from my SS class, Rachel and Jessica. We went to eat lunch at Perkadeli and then came back to my house and walked and hung out. I have looked forward to hanging out with my friends and their babies for a long time. I am so glad I have some buddies with babies close in age to Delaney! Stephen is 8 weeks older than Delaney, and Gabby just turned a year!
We were a big hit at lunch! A group of older ladies came in and were just oohing and aahing over our babies :) Delaney was smiling at them and being so sweet :) After lunch we came back to the house and got our strollers ready to walk! Hank enjoyed all of the sweet babies and of course, the walk :)
Jessica with Gabby & Delaney and Rachel with Stephen
We had such a great time and are already planning an outing for next week! Rachel has to go back to work soon, so we need to take advantage of the time we have. I am so blessed to be able to take the rest of the year off!!  I was planning on going back April 16th and I am so glad I don't have to return yet. I just couldn't imagine leaving her right now. I know it will be hard in August, especially after spending so much time together, but at least she will be six months old. I love staying home with my sweet baby girl and look forward to more days like these!!!

We had a really fun weekend! Friday afternoon my sweet friend Laura came in from Kentucky. She has been praying for us for so long and was so excited when we finally were blessed with our miracle. She couldn't wait to get her hands on our little girl. She has 2 boys so she was super pumped to buy girl clothes :) She brought us some cute outfits and stocked us up on things we may need (tp, paper towels, detergent etc... such a sweet thought!!

I miss seeing her :(
Allen's sister & family came in Friday afternoon so we spent the evening at his parents house hanging out with them. This was the first time our niece Hannah got to meet Delaney :) She wasn't sure what to think of her at first...

Of course we had to take lots of pictures :)

Last night we went to my friend Emily's house. Her and her husband James bought a house a few months ago and we were so excited to finally see it. It is SOOO nice. We had carnitos and the girls brought crafts to make while the boys watched basketball. It was so much fun. I miss my work girls :) They were so excited to love on Delaney Jane.
