A Day in the Life of Delaney Jane

This post is about my sweet Delaney Jane and how the first Monday on our own went :) Enjoy!!

I woke up at 1:30, 4:30 & 7:30 a. m. to eat! This is pretty good. Going 3 hours is the longest I've gone between feedings. Mommy & Daddy are getting some sleep! Daddy went to work at 7:30 and Mommy & I went back to sleep until around 9:30. Mommy & I hung out in bed and talked to Auntie Lou on the phone. She is going to be in Canada the whole month of March...we will miss her so much!! Can't wait to see her again :)

Around 9:45 I ate again. I am eating about 2 oz every 2-3 hours. Dr. Stephens says this is very normal!

After my feeding, I got to swing and watch a Veggie Tales movie that Auntie Kel got me!! I love to swing :)

After swinging for a bit, I took a little nap while Mommy got some things done around the house.

I can't figure out how to turn it. It's saved the right way, but when added on here it is upside down ;)

When I woke up, Mommy changed my diaper and got me dressed! I have lots of cute newborn clothes and enough hair bows to match almost everything! I think I might be a girly girl ;)

Next I had some tummy time! I have been picking my head up and kicking my feet some. I still like to sleep during my tummy time :)

Hank decided to have some back time during my tummy time!!

After a little nap, I ate again! (That's about all I do now :) Hank likes to watch over me when I'm in the pack n play!

Then Mommy & I watched some T.V.

Since it was beautiful outside we took a walk! I got all bundled up and we walked around our neighborhood :)

I got to meet a couple of my neighbors!!

When my Daddy got home, we went to run a few errands. Mommy and Daddy took turns going in a few places while one of them stayed in the car with me :) I love to sleep while riding in the car!

When we got home it was time for me to eat again! Then I hung out with Daddy while Mommy cleaned up a little.

Mommy ordered me these really cool pacifiers with my name on them! Not sure if I'll like them, but Mommy thinks they are very cute :)

I got my pajamas on for the night and me & Daddy are relaxing a little before bed. Mommy will read me a story and we will pray, then I'll go to bed until my next feeding!

Blessed beyond measure

All I can say is WOW! I have dreamed for years of having my very own baby shower (sorry if that sounds selfish :) I love going to others showers and looking at all the fun decorations and oohing over all those adorable baby clothes! I also have an obsession with buying baby clothes ;) So, when this day finally arrived, and it was a baby shower for MY baby, I really didn't know what to think!! This post is going to be mainly pictures from our shower that all of our buddies from church threw together for us in literally 1 week! I am amazed at the number of people who came to support us, and also everything that was organized in such a short amount of time. These ladies are incredible. I hope if you are involved in a church body that you have women(and men) to call on in a time of need like I do! Not only have these sweet families prayed for us and encouraged us over the years, but since Delaney has joined our family, they have not stopped providing kind words, presents and meals!! I literally cannot thank them enough! Here are just a few of the special people that made our shower one to remember...

We had yummy barbeque, salad and an adorable cake that a lady in our church made. I know where I am getting Delaney's 1st birthday cake from!!

I still cannot believe how many gifts Delaney got!! Several people made some cute things for us to hang on her wall!!

I was so worried I wouldn't have anything to hang on her walls! I now have about 5 or 6 prints to hang plus another sweet friend is doing her name out of wooden letters and hanging them with ribbon. I can't wait!!

I know I'm going in reverse, but I needed to post a few more pics too! Friday night my buddy from school, Amanda, came over with her husband Matt and their little boy Noah. I was SO excited to see them. As much as I love being a mommy and getting to stay home, I do miss school, especially the girls I work with.

Yesterday my dad, stepmom, and brother came in to meet sweet Delaney! We hung out and ate lunch, and then they came to the shower for a little bit. We also took a few pics of our sweet family of 3.

We are so blessed to have so many family and friends that love us and make the effort to be with us during this special time! We are enjoying every moment so far of life with Delaney Jane!!! Stay tuned for more updates this week...My mom left this morning so this will be our first week without any extra help!!! :) Wish us luck!!
